…until the calendar turned October, I wasn’t much aware that women had breasts, and I had no idea that occasionally those breasts turn cancerous.  I want to thank the Susan G Komen Foundation, the National Football League, my daughter’s volleyball team, my local newspaper (written on pink paper on Wednesday), and everyone else who has helped enlighten me.

Now I know.  As a part of the terrible burden of being female and having breasts that succor life and pop bodices, depending on the use to which they are put, sometimes those breasts get cancerous.  The profusion of pink did the trick.  Without it, I surely would never have known.
